LinkMap

LinkMap software can be added to your Chameleon network configuration for improved network management, maintenance and reporting functions. LinkMap is an option that is currently added when ordering the Power Patch Panel. In the future, LinkMap will be available as a plug-in module that can be added at any time.

Key features provided by LinkMap:

• Interrogate network links between the PPP and GatorLinks
• Display port-to-port connections in ‘tree’ format – shows ports and serial numbers
• Can set a local alarm to sound if link is disconnected
• Displays properties of each remote device
• Can add description/location info for each link
• Indicates if remote is active or not
• Remote locate from PPP end to the GatorLink

LinkMap is installed via a USB cable that connects directly from the Power Patch Panel
to a computer located in your equipment room.
