Fiber Connections Inc., with Plants in Schomberg,
Ontario and Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada, has
just announced a new line of Fiber Optic to copper twisted pair Ethernet Media Converters. All of the media converters are available with or without Power Over Ethernet(POE) and are available in Single Mode and Multimode versions. Available in either 10/100Mb/s or 1000Mb/s the media converters are encased in new innovative ways to provide for easier use in fiber to the desk, fiber to the zone, backbone, data center applications.
By incorporating the new media converters into Fiber Connections' patented Gator Patch™ the result is a combined media converter and ruggedized pathc panel; ideal for high fiber count fiber to the desk applications. Up to 4 seperate media converters can be encased in the GatorLink™. A smaller one port version (1 pair of fiber optic strands in and 1 CAT5 or CAT6 out) is available for simpler appliactions.
The GatorLink™ is also available in an environmentally sealed version for outdoor or wet applications.
For applications inside the communications closet or in the data center, a rack mount Media Converter Multi Module is available providing up the 18 ports in 1U of rack space.
