Install fiber optic cable into Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) control cabinets faster and easier with the Gator Patch™ ITS Drop Cable.
This factory terminated cable is a compact, epoxy filled patch panel with up to twelve fiber optic connectors. This pre-terminated, pre-tested patch panel easily mounts into almost any size enclosure. There is no need for fan-out kits, field termination of connectors, pigtail splicing or additional splice enclosures.
The Gator Patch™ ITS Drop Cable is used for connectivity between a primary fiber trunk, or feeder cable, and various field devices such as signal controllers, closed circuit television cameras, video detection system cameras, changeable message signs, etc.
The rugged and compact construction of the Gator Patch™ ITS Drop Cable makes it suitable for applications that do not have sufficient space for standard patch panels and splice enclosures. The cable can be ordered in any length needed up to 1000 feet.
The Gator Patch™ ITS Drop Cable is designed with an OFNR-rated, all-dielectric cable that is UV-resistant and is fully water-blocked for
both indoor and outdoor applications. The single, industry standard, 3.0 mm buffer tube contains two to twelve 250um colour-coded fibers
for easy splicing to outside plant cable. Unlike traditional stranded loose tube cables, this cable is highly flexible with a 2.8” installed minimum
bend radius. This lessens bend radius concerns at weather-heads and other tight spaces encountered in transportation applications. The small
diameter (0.28”) allows the use of grommets at the splice closure.
The Gator Patch™ Drop Cable is available in 62.5um and 50um multimode, single mode and hybrid versions with any fiber optic
