The Challenge Today
Bringing it all TogetherToday’s sophisticated communications systems demand increasing speed, bandwidth and security.

To meet these needs, communications systems have had to employ a range of disparate products that must be cobbled together to try to provide all the functions required. This patchwork of products has met some needs but the result is a complex and chaotic interconnection system, prone to failure, malfunction and costly troubleshooting. Download our Chameleon Brochure or view the Chameleon Demonstration Video.

Introducing the GatorLInk
The Chameleon system features the GatorLink®, which offers secure multi-port functionality, data channel separation, media conversion, power over ethernet and voice over IP, all in one efficient and highly adaptable solution.

GatorLink® brings fiber, media conversion and power to the desk in one breakout assembly, thus eliminating the dependency, maintenance and clutter of numerous “wallworts”. GatorLink® combines POE and fiber to run peripherals such as VOIP phones, LAN connections, wireless access points and security cameras.

Special Cabling
The special cabling created for the Chameleon system delivers both fiber and power to the desk in a single cable.

Media Conversion
The Chameleon also has the ability to convert fiber to copper where required, making it easier to adapt to existing copper legacy systems and equipment, therefore reducing cost.
Chameleon
GatorLink® is easily customized to accommodate any combination of fiber and copper ports, ensuring you can easily meet ever-changing needs.

The Zone Box
The Zone Box takes the power from redundant power supplies located in the Power Patch Panel and distributes it to each GatorLink® using a hybrid fiber/copper cable.
The Zone Box can also offer a color-coded cross-connect that makes for easier installation with increased Information Assurance.
The Zone Box can be mounted in the floor or the ceiling and can accommodate up to 288 fibers.

The Power Patch Panel
The system begins and ends with the Power Patch Panel, a communications control center like no other that holds up to 12 distribution or conversion modules that can accommodate up to 288 fibers using a range of connectors.
The distribution modules can be color-coded and keyed to enforce Information Assurance and make identification simpler.
A truly unique feature of the Power Patch Panel is that it can integrate power from a single central UPS and use it to power the entire system, providing a fail-safe for all powered peripherals.
